Kids World Party, a 2011 worldbeat compilation from Putumayo Kids, proves that as long as a song is catchy, upbeat, and a little goofy, it doesn’t really matter what language it’s sung in. The global collection, which goes from France (“Préparons-Nous Pour Faire la Fête”) to Bollywood (“Kitni Haseen Zindagi”), is fun and frivolous, and a nice tonic for the usual “kiddie” fare, especially for parents looking for a break from songs about avoiding strangers, eating your vegetables, and personal hygiene. ~ James Christopher Monger
